Breakz kicks off 2010 with two awesome drum & bass artists, Hospital Records’ legendary LOGISTICS, and the seriously exciting BROOKES BROTHERS.
Support comes from Breakz residents, and in the back room the Soulspun rig will take care of dubstep duties.

The hottest dubstep producer / DJ in the world is making his debut in York for what promises to be one of the biggest nights York has seen in a while.
He went from making dark garage tunes with Benga at the age of 15 on Fruity Loops to being discovered by Hatcha in Croydon a few years later to being one of the pioneering forces that has changed the course of the UK underground music scene.
His music has made dubstep accessible to mainstream music media particulary with 2005 hit ‘Midnight Request Line’, his Essential mix for BBC Radio 1 in 2007 and his recent remix of La Roux’s ‘In For The Kill’.

Legend of the DNB scene DJ Hazard joins us in York for an evening of ‘jump up’ mayhem featuring explosive drum and bass, bouncy breaks and smooth hip hop.
Arguably the king of jump up drum & bass, and solid veteran of DJ Hype’s labels Playaz and Ganja, he’s rocked the scene with classics such as ‘Busted‘, ‘Mr Happy‘ and ‘Machete‘.

The annual (or whatever) clash is on us again, York’s top drum & bass DJs go head to head in a soundclash of bass on the new improved Fibbers soundsystem. Last time Breakz took the edge and the Mafia want revenge, this could get messy!
Also on the night are the legendary True Ingredients, a 10 piece live hiphop & funk band who have supported numerous huge names and had their music included in films and TV shows including ‘Skins’. Their videos have featured on MTV Base and Channel U and they have had airplay on BBC 1xtra….they are phenomenal, don’t miss them!

With Herbal Mafia’s imminent move to Fibbers, they leave the WMC with a special send off alongside the crew who are replacing them… Featuring special guest Kromestar (Dubstar), one of the finest dubstep DJs on the planet.
SoulSpun’s new and improved Soundsystem will be linking up with Cranky’s also improved Soundsystem to bring you 10kW of the deepest bass yet heard in the WMC. They’ve already made quite a few cracks in the building, this time they might bring it down!
