When we heard about the lineup at Metropolis we wet ourselves. After cleaning up the mess, we decided to bring back the Breakz bus for a VIP service to and from Leeds Student Union.

The hottest dubstep producer / DJ in the world is making his debut in York for what promises to be one of the biggest nights York has seen in a while.

He went from making dark garage tunes with Benga at the age of 15 on Fruity Loops to being discovered by Hatcha in Croydon a few years later to being one of the pioneering forces that has changed the course of the UK underground music scene.

His music has made dubstep accessible to mainstream music media particulary with 2005 hit ‘Midnight Request Line’, his Essential mix for BBC Radio 1 in 2007 and his recent remix of La Roux’s ‘In For The Kill’.

After a fantastic success last term the Breakz Bus returns to take us to one of the legendary Subdub nights in Leeds.

For just £20 (entry ticket included) the night begins with a coach ride from Goodricke at 10:45pm to the West Indian Centre, where you’ll have a night with some of the best dub/reggae, dubstep, and drum & bass that Leeds has to offer.

And as if that wasn’t good enough the Breakz Bus will return at the end of the night for a relaxing, chilled out coach journey home.

Breakz blows the York scene up again with arrival of our next superstar DJ,
Mampi Swift!

On the 5th December we shall crank up the Ziggy’s sound system to accommodate this monster of drum and bass.

Support comes from two of Breakz’s all time greatest DJs, Illtrak and Tenchu, who return to York to battle back to back for mixing supremacy; current Breakz residents Spoonfed and Flux will flood the dance floor with the very best beats and bass on the DnB scene; Herbal Maffia’s eclectic mix-maestros Moxx and Jethro with unleash a mashup set of epic proportions; and resident dubstep genius Yenz will top the night with the dirtiest baselines lucking within his record collection…

Both a respected international DJ and producer, Mampi Swift has had releases on Playaz, Frontline, Suburban Base, and his own label Charge. In short, Swift has pumped out some of the anthems that have crafted the evolution of drum and bass, not to mention having a unique rolling set style that has crowds moving out of control across the globe.

This promises to be an epic evening of hardcore raving.
