I put together a short set for you guys to check out but I don't really know where to host it. I do have my own domain but I can't seem to get onto the ftp. Any help would be cool.
Chris
Hey Chris, you could try these, you can upload to them for free (i think). Check if your file size is within their limits

Okay I'll upload in a bit. I rarely spin breaks so some transitions are flawed most are perfect though ;) . If there is any specific genre you'd like to hear I can whack something together tonight. Let me know.

I'm djing tomorrow night at a club in bedford. I'll record that set cos it will give you an idea of what I actually mix. Think DNB/IDM/PsyTrance then your sort of getting there.
Listened to it a number of times over the past few days. Pretty much agree with your comments: there's a distinct whiff of stilton running through it; and a couple of the joins are a bit dodgy though most are fine.
But enjoyed the mix - tunes worked well together I think. As I said, I've played it a number of times, so obviously seems good to me.
(Hoping someone who DJs & can talk with credibility about these things - rather than me just saying "Um, it's good" - will post... :p)
yeah i will give this a listen when i get back... unfortunately it not very easy to dl it at work without some1 knowing, not sure if i am allowed to do it....

I just had to do it. I'm working on compressing my mix from last week cos its 3 hours long. A LONG set.

I mean I can match up beats like none other but with those cheesy lyrics its almost a guarantee they are gonna clash unless you are doing some sort of megamix style.
@ Nick: Hey, don't worry. I'm just aware that I can't talk convincingly about these things.
(You'd certainly have issues with that downloader. I don't think it would be any less subtle if a marching band, complete with baton twirling girls, leapt out of your screen and marched round the office.)
Looking forward to the next one.
Warning: legal meander
Megaupload seems a little confused about its TOS.
You may lose ownership of anything you upload:
You acknowledge that all materials (except those uploaded by users) provided on this Web site ... are provided either by Megaupload or by their respective third party authors, developers and vendors (collectively "Third Party Providers") and the underlying intellectual property rights are owned by Megaupload and/or its Third Party Providers.
As "user" is not defined. The parties to the contract are Megaupload ("we" or "our company") and you ("Customer" or "You"). Presumably this is a 'typo'.
On the homepage they state that:
What kind of files do people upload?
For the individuals it can be things like: music videos, mp3's, songs, computer games, computer software, cell phone ring tones, digital camera photos and albums from anything from family to automobiles to pets.
Yet the TOS says:
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to not use Megaupload's Service to:
...
c. upload, post, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party.
Recalling Napster and MP3.com, it's unlikely they would win a copyright case.
I really must stop reading these things...

Whats wrong with psy trance? Keeps the crowd moving.
Like this mix, a few vocal clashes but its a fun mix even though its as cheesy as baby bell.
Is that your scratching about half way through? If so kudos to you;)
This would go down well at a uni night for sure...
I forgot about this mix, just listening now and it's really good. Best bit IMHO is when it *breaks* into the instrumental bit of dylan rhymes' 'acid thunder' remix of deep dish's 'say hello' about 15 mins in.
Yeah nice scratchin + what i like most is there's lot of nice old skool electro style breaks
Was this done on computer or on decks? I only ask coz I haven't heard of most of these remixes so wondered if they're download only??
