Breakz : [Now]
Hope you all had a good break over Christmas and a fun time at new year.

Coming Up...
Coming up over the next few weeks to sate your musical cravings...

Breakz @ Revolver
Breakz is back in Vanbrugh on Monday as part of Revolver, pumping out some serious tunage all night. We begin with some fat basslines, stir in some tight beats and simmer at 180BPM for the perfect post exam tonic. (For aural consumption only.) There will also be a selection of the latest hip-hop courtesy of Platinum DJs and house playing out in the bar.

Digital DJs 'Must Pay Twice'
BBC News reports that most club DJs in the UK are unaware of a licensing restriction requiring them to pay an additional licence fee if they rip a CD or vinyl track they have bought to a hard drive and play it out from there.

The Digital DJ licence costs £200 + VAT per device (so if they use an iPod they could have to pay more than once) in addition to existing public performance licence that club DJs need.

Pete Tong Interviewed In Wired
Pete Tong talks about becoming a DJ, digital music and his unease over Apple's increasing control over the musical world.

"It's kind of scary that you can have your entire collection on one or two hard drives. My 25 years of vinyl are in storage. I played a 7-inch vinyl set recently and discovered there are 18-year-olds who have never seen vinyl."
