I and my house mates went to toffs on tuesday and i managed to push in to the front of the que but some of my mates didnt (dont you just hate people that do that). Anyway they didnt like the look of the que at that point so instead they went 4 a cheeky pint in the bedroom. And much to there surprise they walked in and the new fresh tune was playing!! i wasnt there so dont know who the dj was but apparently there is gonna be a dnb night there every tuesday. So next time you find yourself being dragged to toffs or just in town on a tuesday pop in to the cheezyest bar in york to see some ugly slappers, maybe a hen night or 2 and some BRUM AND BASS!!:chucle:
It seems dnb is becomin more commercial by the day.
Is this a good thing?
Was it betta when it was properly underground??
Answers on a post card please (not really)

Hiya mate.
I know i should now by now, but. i mean, i have been here long enough, or have i just spent my valuable uni years at home listening to too much d&b.... No don't be silly, what am i saying, to much d&b..... ;)
Anyway. Where is it?????

Also, yes i do believe it's a good thing that d&b is becoming more commercial. But only because i have had enough of the shit, cheeeeeeeesy manufactured bull crap around today.

However, old skool jungle will always be my fav, but i can only look back, with a fond heart and listen to old CD's etc.
ohhhhh, the want for someone to sell their entire 90's jungle collection........!

Anyway, hope all you ravers out there are well.

Keep raving.

Andy :alien:

Well yes the Bedroom is the best place to find weekly dnb.

the night kicks off with alt rock and nu metal stuff, followed by hip hop and then the dnb starts around 10ish or so till about 12 if i remember correctly.

Tuesday nights on the road that people enjoy too many drinks!
MICKLEGATE!
When I was in there last there was this fit lass walking round selling shots from a backpack type thing! you don't even have to get out your chair and go to the bar!
well this is the 21st Century now. :)

Other drinks promos are available too.

Nick - when dnb was properly underground, that was the best time and the best music. dark phat breaks and a heavy rumblin bass line! (my own personal preference)

from '98 and '99 onwards a few tunes got released that made it in the charts, though i think the main reason it has now become more widespread is down to the track arrangements and sounds that are put into them. it is probably more down to the artists making "better and more socialably friendly" music than crappy marketing you see with the likes of gareth ga(y)tes and jenifer lopez (from the block!) :)

shouts to the 1Xtra crew and radio1's Fab n Groove, all the online radio stations, high contrast, shy fx, aphrodite, )E|3( and all the other artists who have been in the lime light over the past few years and who have made dnb what it is now!

Keep up the good work and rollin sounds.

pps lee, i didn't go to New York, some of my family were heading out there, and my dad has a nose for sniffin out records for me (i give him a list! :) )
