Breakz is very proud to present you two of the biggest old skool drum and bass DJs on the planet…
The legendary Bryan Gee alongside Jumpin’ Jack Frost headline a night in Ziggys that will blow your mind!
This duo founded the famous and influential record label V-Recordings 15 years ago – now responsible for producing tunes by the likes of Roni Size, Ed Rush & Optical, Dillinja, DJ Die and DJ Krust.
Clocking over 40 years of DJing experience between them, they have played regularly at events such as A.W.O.L, Movement (London’s longest running DnB night), and host regular shows on London’s most notorious pirate radio station, Kool FM.

As part of their website redesign, YUSU have added Google Apps support to give each club and society a nice big Gmail account. Like a lot of societies, after some deliberation we decided to make the move from our old York socs account.

We’ve recently moved to a new, global group on Facebook so people who aren’t in the York Uni network can join us in supporting alternative music in York.
Whether or not you were part of Breakz on Facebook before, please come and join us at our new home. We promise not to come round and ask to borrow the sugar.

The next Breakz DJ lesson takes place tomorrow (Wed 7 Nov). As before, we’ll start by covering a little theory before giving you all an extended session behind the decks to start mixing up some tunes.
We had a really popular session last week, so we’re bringing extra kit along this time to make sure you can all get as much practice time as possible. Don’t worry if you’ve never touched a pair of decks before; almost everyone who came last week was a beginner, so you’ll be in good company.
So if you want to learn the black arts of beat matching, cross fading and scratching from the acclaimed Breakz resident DJs, come along on Wednesday at 2030 to G/045A & B. Sessions are just £3 (and only £2 for Breakz members).
